U.S. News authoritatively releases the 2023 World’s Best Countries, and Canada is ranked second in the world!

On September 6, US News & World Report latest poll shows that Switzerland, Canada and Sweden are the top three countries in the world in 2023.
Canada is ranked as the second best country in the world and the first English-speaking country!

The report ranks 87 countries around the world based on 10 sub-rankings (73 specific areas) of influence, cultural impact, heritage, creativity, legacy, business openness and social purpose. A total of 17,000 people from 36 countries around the world participated in the survey, with respondents including groups such as business leaders, the middle class, those in higher education and representatives of each country’s citizens.

Canada is ranked as the second best country in the world with a combined score of 99.3 on the 2023 U.S. NEWS list, up one spot from its third place ranking in 2022. It is the second best country in the world for racial equality, flexible colleges and universities to cope with change, to start a career and to locate a global corporate headquarters. Canada is ranked third in the world in terms of quality of life, and fourth in the world in terms of quality of education, which is ranked only behind the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. These rankings also fully support the huge advantage that Canada, as one of the most popular countries for immigrants, occupies when choosing to study and work!

Recently, the United Nations released its “2023 World’s Happiest Countries” ranking, which compares “happiness” based on a number of factors, including social support, income, health, freedom, generosity and the absence of corruption. Canada ranked 13th out of 137 countries, up two places from 15th last year.

According to the United Nations assessment, Canada has been ranked as the world’s best country to live in for several years in a row.
The main reason:
• Canada has a tradition and policy of encouraging multiculturalism.
• A well-developed education system, a high quality of life and a low crime rate.
• Inclusiveness of immigrants unlike other countries.

As a country of immigrants, Canada has a tradition and policy of encouraging multiculturalism. In addition to Native people, there are also many immigrants from all over the world, who live together in harmony, fully reflecting Canada’s national inclusiveness unlike other countries. Not only does the sense of well-being exceed that of the United Kingdom and the United States, but it also means to a certain extent that it is easier for new Canadian immigrants to integrate into the local, friendly and tolerant environment.

Nine million Canadians are expected to reach the retirement age of 65 by 2030, and the birth rate is one of the lowest in the world. It is this aging workforce and shortage of skilled labor that has created the nearly one million job vacancies currently available. With nearly 75% of Canada’s population growth dependent on immigration, it is clear that immigration is a vital line to the Canadian economy. The goal of the 2023-2025 Immigration Level Plan released last November is even more directed at the uptake of new immigrants, with the Canadian government hoping to add 500,000 new permanent residents annually by 2025, and 465,000 by 2023, the target. As a country of immigrants, Canada’s economy is highly dependent on its skilled immigrant population. Overseas workers with extensive work experience are one of the new immigrant groups that the Canadian government is most attracted to.
