Brooklyn College Students Excel at DECA Business Competition

Brooklyn College is proud to announce that several of its students have achieved outstanding results for this year’s DECA business competition, earning the prestigious Ribbon Award and advancing to the provincial level.

DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is the world’s leading business competition for high school students, with participants from the United States, Canada, China, and beyond. This year, Brooklyn’s DECA Club members dedicated weeks to extra classes, preparation, and practice simulations. Their hard work paid off at the district competition held on November 29th, where three students stood out among fierce competition.

The DECA program evaluates students in areas such as marketing, finance, hospitality management, and entrepreneurship through case studies, role-playing, and business proposals. Participation in DECA is not only a competitive experience but also a valuable opportunity for students to develop leadership, teamwork, and professional skills.

Brooklyn College provided comprehensive support, including business knowledge training, presentation skills workshops, and one-on-one mock rehearsals. This foundation enabled the students to excel and secure their place at the provincial competition.

Advancing to the next stage is a testament to the students’ dedication and the school’s commitment to business education. Brooklyn College will continue to support its students as they prepare for the provincial competition, aiming for even greater success.
