Brooklyn College High School enhances student management services with relocation

  • New location near Don Mills subway station
  • Support for students’ university applications worldwide, including the US, UK, Australia, etc. in addition to Canada
  • University acceptance rate of 100% and total scholarship of $3 million

(August 19, 2025) Brooklyn College High School (Brooklyn College) recently announced that it has completed its relocation to near Don Mills subway station – as part of its efforts to strengthen its student management services, including after school programs and support for students’ university applications across universities worldwide.

Jennifer Wang, director and UAP team leader, who oversees the global university application services for Brooklyn students, said, “Over the past three years, the number of students who applied for English-speaking countries such as the U.S., the U.K., and Australia, etc. as well as Canada have been steadily increasing. The proportion of applicants has risen to 45% this year, compared to 31% two years ago. This is because acquiring an OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) would be advantageous for applying to universities in English-speaking countries.” She further explained, “Recently, students have been increasingly choosing their final university destination by comparing total cost such as tuition, scholarships, in addition to offered programs. For example, Australian universities are globally recognized through QS World University Rankings and relatively have low tuition – thus positioning them to be an attractive university destination for students.”

Brooklyn College achieved $3,011,100 in scholarship amount, in addition to 100% of the university entrance rate this year. For the offers, Canada is 76% and International is 24%, respectively, and the portion of offers from international is Australia 67%, the U.K. 14%, the U.S. 8%. Others include New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Brooklyn College provides students with personalized one-on-one management services, tailored to their individual career aspirations and pathways, whether they are planning to pursue opportunities in Canada or another English-speaking country. In addition to guidance counsellors, specialized counsellors are available to support students with their university applications, including a comprehensive program review of admission requirements, as well as assistance with supplementary documents – such as essays, portfolios and interviews. Furthermore, they support students in identifying university scholarship opportunities, facilitate visits to universities, as well as connecting them with undergraduate students who graduated from Brooklyn College – helping them make more informed decisions when selecting a university.

In addition, Jennifer added, “Brooklyn College has recently completed its relocation near Don Mills subway station. This allows us to strengthen our student management services through improved accessibility of the school, as well as to expand our after-school programs by leveraging larger facilities.” She further emphasized, “In addition to classes, after-school programs will help students improve their English skills and necessary abilities for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).”

Brooklyn College’s new address is 285 Yorkland Boulevard, North York, ON M2J 1S5. It operates as a three-semester system, with regular semesters beginning in September, December and March.
