Brooklyn Awards & Scholarships

Beyond university entrance awards, Brooklyn College Canada recognizes academic excellence and long-term commitment through two internal scholarship programs — available to new and returning students who meet the criteria below.

Entry Scholarship New students

Awarded to incoming students who demonstrate excellent English proficiency at the time of application or registration.

$800 IELTS 6.5+ overall, or TOEFL iBT 90+ with Writing above 19

$1,200 IELTS 7.0+ overall, or TOEFL iBT 100+ with no strand below 20

Important notes

Scores are based on the date of application to the school.
Students who reach qualifying scores at registration remain eligible.
Test scores are subject to a minimum one-year validity.
Only one tier may be awarded per student.
Award is deposited directly into the Student Account and released upon graduation.

Continuous Enrolment Scholarship Grades 7–11

Rewarding students who commit to Brooklyn College across multiple years — the longer the enrolment, the greater the award.

We can't guarantee scholarships — universities award them based on their own criteria. What we can guarantee is that every student leaves Brooklyn College with the academic profile, grades, and preparation needed to compete for them. 85% of our 2025 graduates received entrance scholarship offers, which reflects the strength of that preparation.
From Grade 9. Entrance scholarships are largely based on academic average — and that average is built over four years, not four months. Students who start with a clear academic strategy in Grade 9 arrive at Grade 12 with the grades and course selection that make them competitive for merit awards.

Yes. Many Canadian universities offer entrance scholarships open to both domestic and international students, awarded on academic merit regardless of citizenship. The Brooklyn College Entry Scholarship is an internal award for incoming students with strong English proficiency scores. Students with an IELTS of 6.5+ (or TOEFL iBT 90+) receive $800, and those with an IELTS of 7.0+ (or TOEFL iBT 100+) receive $1,200. The award is deposited directly into the student's account and applied toward tuition upon graduation.
